We’ve heard of all sorts of “street teams” in our day but a Creative Hands version is news to us. It seems that Etsy.com, an online marketplace for handmade goods, has an energetic Knoxville following.
Mary Jane Borden, Veronica Stone and Lisa Mueller founded the Knoxville Creative Hands Street Team, a Knoxville-based Etsy community with over 100 members. Now that they are established, the group has decided to hold a spring sale event, showcasing the handmade goods that the members produce.
The Spring Show and Sale will be held Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 10am to 5pm in The Centre at Deane Hill on Morrell Road in the retail space next to Stein Mart. You can learn more about the group by visiting their website.

@Patrick Beeson: Since I know where you live I’ll just swing by for some cookies and save on S&H.
@Lisa Mueller: Sounds like a good event. I am in need of some graduation gifts.

If you check out the Etsy webpage there is a section that is called Shop Local where you can search for Etsy sellers who are specifically located here in Knoxville or in any other city you like. You can check it out here …http://www.etsy.com/shop_local.php
