Ask the Knoxify readers where their favorite BBQ joint is located and they’ll get territorial on you. Trust us, we know.

Last Friday we asked for the (quasi) second time and almost ten comments later we’ve come to realize that, for the most part, really good BBQ is located somewhere along Middlebrook Pike. Here’s how the readers picks tally up.

Other restaurants that our Facebook fans and Twitter followers chimed-in with:

  • Backroom at Patrick Sullivan’s
  • Dixon’s
  • Famous Dave’s
  • Buddy’s
  • Tony Gore’s (Pigeon Forge)
  • Scruggs

  1. What about Rouxbarbs?! Their spare ribs are dry rubbed and smokey, they have a great texture and come with a variety of seasonal BBQ sauces. They are definitely the best in town! If you haven’t tried the BBQ at Rouxbarb’s you have to!

@Thomas – you’re not lying there. I grew up in the Tri-Cities and one place my parents always took me was Ridgewood. It’s the best in the country, not just East TN.
