Waffle House. Vic & Bills Deli. Krystal. Pick your poison, or favorite artery clogger, when it comes to late-night Knoxville eats. But who’s the best?
What’s your favorite late-night Knoxville eatery?

After every Friday night football game, the high schoolers take over IHOP for the midnight hour. That could be an endorsement or a warning to stay away, depending on your perspective.

Definitely Gus’s Good Times Deli near UT. Steamed sandwiches, seasoned fries and horrible service. Yum.

@Leslie: Bad customer service is what makes late-night dining so special. :)

As much as I loves me some Vic + Bill’s, I’m going to have to go with Waffle House. Specifically the one on Papermill. There’s just something about piling on some greasy goodness, some hashbrowns: scattered, shellacked, smothered, schlepped, covered, jagged, chunked. Mmm. Screw waiting ‘til late night, I need to go now.

Awful House, Awful House, meet me at the Awful House. Especially now that I don’t club anymore. It’s better than any episode of anything on CMT. For the ones out near Cottoneyed Joe, think Squidbillies, only the squids walk upright, sorta, mostly.

Waffle House for sure…I love that place….the smell alone is enough to fill you up!

If you’re out west, Steak & Shake is a good ‘un.
Otherwise, it’s Vic & Bill’s. Too bad we don’t have the equivalent of Atlanta’s Majestic Diner around here.

Is Ali Baba’s Time Out Deli near Western Plaza open late?
And we’d always go to Perkins in Farragut.

Hmm… late night eateries… my own pantry, usually stocked with peanut butter, crackers, chips and salsa (unopened, I should add).
Otherwise, Wendy’s. At least the salads and mandarin oranges are healthy. ;)

I’d go with Ali Baba’s too, even though it isn’t really open that late (midnight?). If it’s later than that, I’m all about some sliders at Krystals. Make mine with cheese, please.

Actually if you can find a sober driver, take your crew to the Iron Skillett truck stop off of Watt Rd exit on I-40. Wonderful food, gravey so thick you cant see the biscuits. Also Vic and Bills for the food and sites. Too bad Longs Drug store isnt open late.
