You knew it was coming and now it’s here. Renaldo Woolridge, aka Swiperboy and UT basketball player, is famous for his hoops and his music videos. He just laid a new track, Never Leave You Like Kiffin, that we hope Southern California radio stations are playing non-stop. Good work Swiperboy.

For people who don’t bleed orange, the fierce, irrational loyalty of Tennessee football fans is perplexing. You might think we’re unbalanced and over-the-top in our allegiance to the Vols. You might think we’re blithely unaware of bigger issues and that we ought to get our priorities in order. What we need is a reality check, right?

Garrett Crawford has contributed to our flickr pool about as much as anyone. Given the quality of work he submits it’s no surprise that we’ve featured his work in our View of Knoxville series multiple times. Today, we’re going to let Garrett’s work take you on a visual tour of Neyland Stadium. Enjoy!
A couple of weeks ago the Tennessean reported that A&E is in hot water over their use of Knoxville’s beloved song, Rocky Top. Sounds like someone better pay up or it’s going to get rocky.

Yesterday, Neyland Stadium (and Knoxville) was cut from an initial list of 70 stadiums vying to host the World Cup in 2018 and 2022. Fortunately for our friends in Middle Tennessee Nashville is still in the running.
Did you want the World Cup to be held at Neyland Stadium? If an event is held in Nashville will you be road-trippin’ it?

The Snowboard Revolution crew recently made a trip to Ober Gatlinburg by way of Arkansas and Memphis. I think they were surprised that there is actually snow in Tennessee. Nod to Alex for the link.
Debuting in their inaugural season, the Knoxville Thunderbolts are quickly proving their worth as they move up the ABA rankings. Until today I didn’t know we had such a team in our backyard. Thanks for the tip Brent.
