I want to be the representive for this District. My qualifications include 13+ years of civic and community experience. I have a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelors in Political Science from Tougaloo College. I am currently in my fourth year as a Special Education Teacher with Knox County Schools.

I am running for this position because ALL constituents in District 1 Seat A deserves to have a qualified and professional representative who will act on their behalf. I envision the Commissioner’s role as one who is accessible, responsive and a good listener.

My platform include:

1.) Sustainable Economic Revitalization
Developing a comprehensive economic plan that captures the unique fabric of each individual community so each community potential can be reached. (Areas include: housing, business development, training, education and environmental issues).

2.) Stronger Public Schools
Retaining qualified teachers by offering competitive salaries and affordable health insurance options. Also making sure resources are allocated to address both the rigors of academic success as well as employable skills for the workforce.

3.) Cleaner, Safer Neighborhoods
More equitable distribution of resources that would address these issues:

2. We think it’s better knowing what not to do rather than having an extensive plan. What areas or interests would benefit Knox County not to venture into?

As Commissioner:
I will not engage in behavior that is unprofessional and unethical..
