Lost Your Job? Apply Inside

apply

This kind of treatment makes our stomach turn. Knoxville is a better place than that.

To prove it, we want you to e-mail us your resumé. If you’ve recently lost your job at Goody’s, ImagePoint, Alcoa or any other Knoxville-based employer, e-mail your resumé – in PDF, Word or image file format – to tips@knoxify.com.

Upon receipt, we’ll review it and write a post about you containing your resumé. Hopefully someone will come a knocking.

Note: based on the number of responses we receive we can’t guarantee an immediate post but we’ll work our butts off trying.

  2. Regarding the link to the Goody’s layoffs: While I certainly feel for these folks, I have to ask…what did they expect? Their employer declared bankruptcy and was having “going out of business” sales. Did they not read the writing on the wall?

  4. Great idea, guys. I think it’s wonderful of you to do this and hopefully help some recently laid off locals find new jobs.

  5. Hopefully things will look up for those of us graduating from college in May with work experience including class time, internships, and hands-on. Scary situation.

  10. I learned about your website on the news this evening and e-mailed my resume to you. Due to downsizing of my most recent job position, I have been searching for a payroll accounting position since 2/2/09. Thank you for your time and consideration of my resume in adding it to your website. P.S. I enjoyed the article on Loose Teas. I’ll be back to enjoy your website often. Have a great day! Sincerely, Lanette Croft

  11. Thank you guys for doing this. It’s very cool. Everyone says that they want to help, and that they want to make a difference, but they don’t know where to start. You guys have taken the proverbial bull by the horn. You have taken the reigns and ran with it. Apparently you knew where to start.

I learned about you guys on the news last night, and I came a knockin’ this morning. I most recently worked at an architectural firm based here in Knoxville as an electrical designer. As you could imagine, I, as well as many others, fell victim to the economy. I have been looking for work, the type of which is nonprefferential at this point, since July 31, 2008.

You guys, and what you are doing, is awesome. And I think that I speak on behalf of everyone here when I say “Thanks for the help!!!” Even if nothing pans out, at least someone tried, right?
