Guide to Fox Den

Where is Fox Den?

About 2 miles west of Campbell Station Rd, just off Kingston Pike across from Willow Creek Golf Club. Fox Den is easily accessible via I-40 and I-140.

Fox Den Information

Fox Den is an upscale golf and country club community that was originally developed in the late 1960s and 1970s and was considered by some back in the day to be the most prestigious neighborhood in west Knox County. It’s still pretty swank, and many folks are still willing to pay for the privilege of calling Fox Den home.

Homes in Fox Den are, for the most part, very large and very groovy. There are a few custom homes still being built in the neighborhood, but most of the homes were built in the 70s and 80s. And although some still sport custom features like sunken wet bars and sunken avocado green jacuzzi tubs, most have since been updated to 21st century standards. These remodeled homes go for top dollar, while fixer uppers usually go for much less, making comps a tough thing in Fox Den.

The Fox Den Country Club is at the center of life in Fox Den, and with good reason. With an 18 hole championship golf course that’s been home to The Knoxville Open (a PGA tour event) since 1999, seven tennis courts, junior Olympic swimming pool, fitness center, and multiple dining options, there’s certainly plenty to keep members happy & occupied.

If they should get bored with what’s available at home, Fox Den residents can always hop in the car to enjoy one of the many nearby Town of Farragut parks, like Anchor Park, Mayor Bob Leonard Park or Campbell Station Park. And if residents still need some more time outdoors, they can take a stroll or jog on one of Farragut’s greenway’s or on its many sidewalk lined streets.

Hungry Fox Denners certainly don’t have a lack of options when it comes to dining. They can either dine at one of the country club’s restaurants, or they can visit one of several tasty nearby eateries. If they want to go a little more upscale, they can head over to the nearby Season’s Cafe, a wine bar with a scrumptious American bistro style menu. For something a little more laid back, they can chow down at Wild Wings Cafe, a national chain restaurant with more TV’s and kinds of wings than you can shake a stick at. Or if they want something completely out of the ordinary, they can pay a visit to Restaurant Linderhof, Knoxville’s only authentic German dining establishment.

Fox Den is also a short drive to the nearby Turkey Creek shopping area, which not only has just about any store you could ever need, but also has tons of restaurants as well as Knoxville’s largest movie theater, the Regal Pinnacle 18.

Fox Den is currently zoned for Farragut Elementary School, Farragut Intermediate School, Farragut Middle School, and Farragut High School.
