Before you newbies leave for fear of the word “feed”, read this: feeds are “used to publish frequently updated content including, but not limited to, blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts.” Got that?

Here at Knoxify we publish our ever fluctuating feed subscriber total in the footer. Go ahead, take a look. That number may not mean much to the average Joe, but when broken down with Blog Perfume’s Feed Analysis tool, the statistics of it all begin to take shape.

In a nutshell, Monday’s are good and Tuesday’s are bad for the Knoxify guys. By looking at the below chart, you can see that our Tuesday’s are stale in subscriber count.

Knoxify RSS Stats

At any rate, our subscriber base and overall hits back to the site are growing. Last month, Knoxify grew by 11.76% and is projected to have over 50 subscribers within the next 3 months. As of today we’re ringing in at 45 subscribers so 3 months may come sooner than we think.

So, what does all of this mean?

Realtime data is only as realtime as you make it. By using feeds and a feed reader, you can receive instant updates on your favorite sites. Or, if you prefer the sound of “you’ve got mail”, you can subscribe to e-mail updates that will clog your inbox with Knoxified goodness.

With our feed growing we can only hope that the less than “super” users are catching the RSS bug.

For the Knoxville bloggers out there, toss your Feedburner URL into the analysis tool and see where you stand.
