Before you newbies leave for fear of the word “feed”, read this: feeds are “used to publish frequently updated content including, but not limited to, blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts.” Got that?

Here at Knoxify we publish our ever fluctuating feed subscriber total in the footer. Go ahead, take a look. That number may not mean much to the average Joe, but when broken down with Blog Perfume’s Feed Analysis tool, the statistics of it all begin to take shape.

Nama Sushi

For those of us that still choose Bearden over Turkey Creek for dinner, our food choices have slipped as of late. The famous Cha Cha Tapas restaurant recently closed down leaving a vacant building.

However, Gregg White has announced plans to bring Nama Sushi Bar to fill the empty space. Mr. White has had great success with his Gay St. location. So we have to ask:

The Knoxville blog network is one of the tightest virtual networks I’ve come into contact with. This circle of bloggers is filled with talented, comical and friendly people from a myriad of backgrounds.

One thing that is lacking across the community is good blog design. In my opinion, content reigns supreme but having a blog-front that’s easy on the eyes is a major bonus.

I’m not going to point fingers at those needing a new coat of pixels or an architectural overhaul, but I will show you my list of the top Knoxville blogs that are rich in content and color - in no particular order.

Update: Busy Mom isn’t a Knoxville blogger. She somehow crept onto the Knoxville Blog Network. Shame, shame.

Update #2: We’ve decided to adopt Busy Mom into the Knoxville blog family since she “used to live here”.

Knoxville

Sorry for the late installment of this weeks Knoxified Friday Question. We’ve had a lot going on but at last, here we go.

We have touched on nickname’s and motto’s that might possibly describe Knoxville to an outsider and generate pride to those that live in the area. One thing we haven’t touched on is the foundation for which a motto comes from.

In your opinion, what defines Knoxville as a city?

Bruce Pearl

It was no surprise when Memphis took on Tennessee that new television records would be set for ESPN; over 5.21 million viewers tuned in. Oddly enough this was good for Knoxify.

On January 14 we unveiled the hit single from the Sons of Bruce (SOB), The Bruce Is Loose. Roughly a month later, we told you about the SOB world tour. Our analytics have been going crazy ever since.

In February, our Bruce Pearl content accounted for over 14% of pages viewed on this blog. It’s now a fact, Bruce is a one hit wonder.
