Since the 1960’s the Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) has held an engaging spot within the Knoxville community. Originally known as the Dulin Gallery of Art, the KMA quickly outgrew the beaux-arts mansion in West Knoxville it once inhabited.

It’s been almost a month since we last heard from the Sons of Bruce, the pioneers behind the hit song “The Bruce Is Loose”. Our appetite for more has at last been satisfied.
The Sons of Bruce just revealed their world tour dates and they’re coming to a venue near you.
Wednesday, February 20: Thomspon-Boling Arena - Auburn Game Halftime
Ok, maybe not so worldly but we don’t see your band at TB. Rock out!

The guys here at Knoxify are proud of our city. We are even more fond of those - both businesses and individuals - that make the city of Knoxville a better place to live.
To show our token of appreciation we will begin handing out Knoxified Awards or as we like to call them, YBK’s (You’ve Been Knoxified!).
It’s raining accolades!

Beginning today, the Young Professionals of Knoxville (YPK) will accept nominations for new members.
Brandon and I co-founded YPK in 2006 and the group now boasts over 80 dynamic members who were all hand selected by Knoxville’s top business leaders. With the nomination process we hope to continue our run of attracting top-shelf young professionals from around the Knoxville area who want to step up and make a difference.
This is the only commercial I remember from the game. It’s just that good. Talking baby + Stock trades = Hit commercial.
Let’s hear from you. What was your favorite Super Bowl ad?

Eight months ago we started Knoxify.com in hopes of becoming a forum-based website, glowing with Knoxville residents as they posted about their life. Two marriages, one baby and a non-profit organization later, the Knoxify guys took a step back and reorganized. We pondered what this little space on the web could become.
After realizing that Brandon had more ideas than any Trapper Keeper could hold, we decided to embark on a dual-blogging journey back in December of last year. Poof, here we are.
We didn’t know what to expect from an audience we didn’t think would come. I guess we’re halfway interesting after all. These are the blog stats for the month of January:
We have a lot of sites to thank for referring links back to us. These sites - in order by # of referrals - helped grow the site:
Now it’s your turn to talk. What did you think of the last month? We’re really excited about the things to come. Keep the comments coming and “do good”.

64 concerned citizens are pushing a reform effort containing nine charter amendments that will hopefully make it to the August 2008 ballot.
Ansley Haman of the News Sentinel writes:
…the group wants voters to have more direct influence over a smaller commission; wants to prohibit county employees from serving on commission; and wants the next county mayor and commission to select administrators for tax collections, motor vehicle registrations and other functions that are currently overseen by independently elected officeholders.
The Knoxify guys received a direct press release from Cortney Piper - interviewed here - stating her support for the Knox Charter Petition reform.
Now we’re curious as to other Knox County election hopefuls that may be supporting this petition.
