First Annual Clean Commute Day. If you’re reading this from work then we want to ask, did you take part in the clean commute day? The Knoxville Regional Transportation Planning Organization sure hopes you did.

Saturday, August 21st
Great Tennessee Valley Rubber Duck Race. Rubber duckie you’re the one. You take the lead and win so much moolah! Buy a duck, support the Boys & Girls Clubs and hope to win a piece of the $23,000 purse.

East Tennessee Irish Festival. Like beer gardens and fiddle competitions? Then head to World’s Fair Park from 1-10pm on Saturday and immerse yourself in some Appalachian Celtic heritage. Under 12 free, Kids $5, Adults $10.

Butterfly Fund 5k Run/Walk. Every school day 46 children are diagnosed with cancer. The families of Emily Barger and Maddie Harrill established the Butterfly Fund to support research, treatment and services for childhood cancers. Walk or run to show your support for finding a cure.
