The Weekender: Einstein, First Friday and the 4th of July

An early, quick rundown of events happening in or around Knoxville this weekend.

Friday, July 2nd
Einstein Bros. Bagels Grand Opening. Start your Friday off bright and early by being one of the first 100 people in line for the grand opening of Einstein Bros. Bagels and you will receive a free breakfast sandwich a week for a year. The new store is located at 1049 North Cedar Bluff Road (map).

July’s First Friday. Head downtown for July’s First Friday and enjoy art galleries, dining and entertainment near the Market Square and Old City areas.

Saturday, July 3rd
Farragut Independence Day Parade. Grab a chair and head West for the 23rd Annual Independence Day Parade in Farragut. It starts at 9:30 a.m. and begins at the entrance to Farragut High School.

Sunday, July 4th
Festival on the Fourth. If you’re going to be on dry land come Sunday, make your way to World’s Fair Park for the Festival on the Fourth. The event will offer food, crafts, a WDVX music stage, Kid’s Art Tent, and the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will play at 8pm. Fireworks start at 9:30pm.
