Urban Dictionary describes people watching as: A Hobby in which you go out and watch people. The way they act, dress, & talk. Like bird watching except with people. Very entertaining.

I’m originally from Kingsport, TN and it’s no secret there that Fun Fest is the super bowl of people watching. Being graced by a mullet every 27 seconds is par for the course.

What about Knoxville? Is it Sundown? The Tennessee Valley Fair? Fellini Kroger?

What’s your favorite people watching event or place in Knoxville?

  1. Market Square. There is quite an eclectic group of people walking around. P-pub and Oodles are great places to sit on the patio, have a beer and just watch.

  2. I personally suggest any of numerous bars on Chapman Hwy, Martin Mill, or Maryville Pike…people watching at it’s finest.
