If only we were hipster enough to know who this guy is we might appreciate the comment more. In any case, New York City-based composer, Nico Muhly, raved about his visit to Knoxville. More and more folks are starting to take notice of this big little town we call home. Hat tip to Examiner.com.

You don’t need to be hipster to appreciate the music from Big Ears. In fact, we should give credit to that sub-culture for helping Knoxville achieve pretty notable fame for that music event — it’s a heck of a lot better than what we get for Booms Day.

World renowned mullet’s and cut-off tees come out for Booms Day so don’t hate on it that much.
Maybe you should ask the hipsters over at TSINAW to explain to you who this guy is.
Got to see Nico and Doveman perform, opening for St. Vincent, at Big Ears. Great show.
