We’re using our regularly scheduled Friday Question time slot to bring you something a little different this week: a list of weekend events and a question on which are worthy of our attendance. First up, the events.
- Giant Clothing Swap – The “The Live More Simply So We Can Simply Live Event” will go down in Market Square at 9AM on Saturday. The on-site sewing stations are pulling at our heart strings.
- Walk It Out – The annual walk for Type 1 Diabetes will kick-off on Saturday at 8:30AM in World’s Fair Park. Let’s find a cure people.
- Renaissance Farragut Festival – Saturday at 9AM “a free, one-day street fair celebration of renaissance culture, and cuisine” will kick-off in Farragut.
- All Jokes Aside – Regal Entertainment Group has brought Jay Leno to Knoxville for a Saturday night show at 8PM. This annual event features major headliners to help raise money for the non-profit Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation.
We chose four events to feature but that’s not all Knoxville has to offer this weekend. See the full list here.
With so much to do, how do you choose?

Don’t forget about the opening day of the Market Square Farmer’s Market Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
I hear there are many more vendors this year and years prior. They’re going to expand the venue from Market Square proper to Krutch Park.
Also, my wife will be selling cookies with Meg Parrish of Old City Java. Stop by for a cookie and coffee!
