Since the 1960’s the Knoxville Museum of Art (KMA) has held an engaging spot within the Knoxville community. Originally known as the Dulin Gallery of Art, the KMA quickly outgrew the beaux-arts mansion in West Knoxville it once inhabited.
Now, exhibits from across the globe decorate the walls of the Tennessee marble building located near World’s Fair Park. This accredited museum boasts 12 full-time and 18 part-time professional staff that orchestrate events for over 2,300 annual memberships. Knoxville has created a culture here at the KMA, as it serves as a meeting place for professionals and families throughout our community. For Knoxville to grow into a unique city we must support our arts and culture.
The KMA is exceptionally worthy of our very first YBK (You’ve Been Knoxified!) award. Their emphasis on local and regional artists as well as their outreach to the community help make Knoxville a better place to live and play.
