Best Soul Food in Knoxville?

Time to dig in. Photo: Daniel Y. Go

Although we can almost bet Chandler’s Deli will reign supreme in the comments, we gotta ask, who has the best soul food in Knoxville?

  1. I’ve never had Chandler’s, though I hear nothing but positive comments about it.

My fave is Big Fatty’s in Bearden. I’ve had a crush on that place since eating there soon after moving to Knoxville. Also, they let you bring your own beer, which in my case is beer I make myself.

  2. Chandler’s is okay; however, Bread of Heaven in Alcoa gets my vote. I feel like I’m sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner anytime I go there.
