Our goal at Knox­ify is to “bring read­ers an insid­ers view on what makes Knoxville, TN great. We also want to empha­size our drive to spark con­ver­sa­tion. Build­ing a bet­ter com­mu­nity one com­ment at a time is where it’s at.”

Part of what makes Knoxville great are the numer­ous non-profit agen­cies that work to meet the needs of our community.

Inspired by our friends at Chat­tarati we are happy to announce a new online local giv­ing project called First Fri­day Five. The first Fri­day of each month we will pro­file a local non-profit and ask Knox­ify read­ers to donate $5.

Keep your eyes open this week for the pre­miere install­ment of the First Fri­day Five. With the eco­nomic down­turn, non-profits are in need of more funds to meet ever grow­ing needs, and we are excited to intro­duce our read­ers to wor­thy agen­cies.
